Thrill Seeker – Winter Travers

56023085. sy475
Three years ago my thrill seeking woman walked out of my life and didn’t even bother to give me a glance goodbye.

The Kings of Vengeance became my family at a time when I had nothing but a bottle of whiskey and fading memories of a woman I thought I would spend the rest of my life with.

Deedra was always looking for the next lead, the next exciting story to catapult her into news anchor stardom. No matter the sacrifice.

She never thought her ambitious ways would land her smack dab in the middle of the headlines.

Now the Kings of Vengeance and I have to save her before her thrill seeking ways land her six feet under.

I’d like to thank Enticing Journey for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. So I love Winter Travers when it comes to MC she is one of my favourite authors. I loved her Fallen Lords series and when that ended I was sad but then I started this one and got over it. I loved all the other books and have reviews for them. They are: Drop a Gear and DisappearLean Into ItKnees in the Breeze and Midnight Wreckage and I loved them all. So when it comes to Winter Travers my expectations are high and she does not disappoint.

Thrill Seeker follows Point and his estranged wife Deedra as for the first time in three years they are thrown together and can’t stop bumping into each other since Midnight Wreckage when she was reporting on Gunner’s story. I think I only have one complaint and that is that this actually wasn’t angsty enough for me. I wanted more angst but it was still good nevertheless.

Deedra is described many times through this as cold and a bitch but I think as soon as Point starts pushing his way back into her life wanting to know why she left she begins to open up to him and honestly I loved the moment she was finally honest with him and why she didn’t stay. It was a shit reason on her part but I’m glad that she told him the truth.

Point I loved him in the other novels and let me tell you he didn’t disappoint. I loved him in this book and learning more about his past and how he and Deedra got together but also broke up. Although our boy instead of dealing with his issues for the first few chapter just drank his problems away which you know sometimes mood. He soon got his butt into gear to go and get his woman.

I really liked them they were cute together and they definitely knew how to push each other’s buttons which also sometimes resulted in some grown up adult time. Which Winter Travers really does know how to write her sex scenes.

I also loved seeing all the other characters they are just a big family and I love it, like they just it’s like being at home and you could just imagine being there with them and know its true and I love it. Honestly it’s one of the reasons why I still read her books because all the characters play and important part

As always with her books I have a few honourable scenes in this that deserved to be mentioned these aren’t spoiling anything either so you don’t have to worry about that.

The first mention is the scene where they go to the shelter and it’s the lead up to the way the girls act and then Point’s attitude it had me creasing I couldn’t stop chuckling.

The second one and by far the best where I had to put the book down because I was laughing way too much and when I reread the scene I was still laughing. I could just imagine how it would be in real life and I think that’s what I loved. The girls are all drunk and there is some terrible jokes and honestly I was in a fit of giggles if you’ve read this book you know exactly what I mean.

So in terms of the plot we have a set up in this book which I believe will continue in the next book and honestly it’s going to be so good! Also Brick comes out of prison soon and if we don’t get his book with detective Kaye I will be sad about that.

Midnight Wreckage – Winter Travers

Don’t mess with the Kings of Vengeance…I may not have been raised on the right side of the tracks, but there are two things in life you never mess with: women and children. With the world of the Kings going crazy, the overwhelming urge to keep Queenie safe is just as strong as the need to find Gunner.Anyone who threatens the Kings or what I’ve claimed as my own better pray I never find them.Vengeance is coming

They are: Drop a Gear and Disappear, Lean Into It and Knees in the Breeze and loved them so I had high expectations for this one especially as I had come to love Queenie and Sledge in the previous books.

This book continued right where Knees in the Breeze ends, Queenie has been shot and Gunner has been kidnapped. Right from the beginning of this novel the stakes are high and it really is all the way throughout this novel. I love how information is discovered in the novel, we don’t know anything until the characters know it and I love it. So many times during reading this I was shocked like I did not expect the twist and turns that were thrown at me.

Winter Travers knows how to write her series wanting to keep you reading on. I love how she writes the characters and wants you to just be involved with the family and be in that world. I love it. She does write fantastic characters and world and plot.

I loved getting more information about Queenie and how she came to have baby Gunner but also about her relationship with Duchess, her sister and Gunner’s mother, Queenie was a special kind of person to deal with the shit Duchess put her through everytime she relapsed. Then when she thought she was finally clean but only to find her dead and having to look after a baby that she was not prepared for. She was dealing with so much shit and we see her dealing with some of it when she’s trying to find information on whose Gunner’s dad is.

I loved the relationship between Sledge and Queenie we saw it growing in the other books but we saw a firm foundation with them. From the moment Queenie is at the hospital and comes home Sledge is by her side. I loved their relationship it was so cute and I just loved the chemistry between them the sexual tension throughout this book when they finally make their move is on point.

One of my favourite scenes in this book is when Queenie is helping Sledge with his washing and they are in the laundry room. They begin to get steamy and they almost start to get freaky that is until Kimber walks in on them! And then screams which gets Fancy running in and it is hilarious scene, definitely one of my favourite scenes.

As always when the women are involved church becomes a shit show, it’s hilarious to watch Quinn get so frustrated with the girls when it comes to church or them not being able to be quiet when they need to. It’s so funny.

So we have a few new additions to this lovely cast of characters and that is Lynn and Robyn. I’m really hoping we get books with them two in it because man they are interesting. Speaking of books we have a detective Kaye helping them find Gunner and it is revealed she has history with Brick an MC member that is in prison and she put him there, like I’m going to need that book please and thank you because I need to know the details. I need their book.

I am also really looking forward to the next book which is Point. It leaves on a great cliffhanger and I need the next one.

So the only thing I wish I saw more of in this book was Sledge and Queenie and Gunner being a family and a couple we get a little bit at the end but not enough for me. I just want more.

Knees In The Breeze – Winter Travers

Knees in the breeze.
That’s all I really want, but nothing ever goes the way I want.

Bodies are piling up, Petra is too scared to talk, and the club is scrambling to figure out just what is going on.

When I signed on with the Kings of Vengeance I figured I’d get my time with my knees in the breeze, but someone has other plans for the Kings.

Soon they’ll find out we aren’t called the Kings of Vengeance for nothing.

Vengeance will be ours.

I’d like to thank Enticing Journey for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated! This is the third of this series starting with Drop a Gear and Disappear and Lean Into It. I was so excited to read another book by Winter Travers especially now The Fallen Lords series have ended.

So I was very excited to start this knowing that this one was going to be about Petra and I really started to like her character in the other books and this book she really did shine. I love how shy she was and yet she was also sassy and we see way more of her sassiness and I love it!

I love Rhino, I love how his whole mood of knees in the breeze if only it was that simple. I really liked Rhino and how sweet he was but he could also be mega scary too and I really loved the two sides of him and how we saw him with different people. He was very loyal and protect and I love it.

Awww poor Petra losing her cat. I feel so sad for her.

I love seeing Quinn, Dino, Fancy and Kimber all again especially them as couples and seeing how supportive they are of each other. I also love seeing my babies all happy together and they are still as hilarious as they were in the other books.

I love Rhino and I just love he decided to nickname Petra ‘Pet’ I loved that at first she got annoyed by her nickname and then learned to love it. Oh my god Rhino and Petra butting heads is hilarious

Petra grabbing snacks whilst she’s on her period I think is all of us whenever we need snacks and it was hilarious she reminded me of when I go on munchies.

I really do love Queenie she was a great addition to the characters and she fitted in perfectly with the other girls and even in the clubhouse itself she was a great addition and even baby Gunner!

Oh my god these pair are so fucking cute, the chemistry they have is just so cute and I love how their bond develops throughout the book from sharing a bed to falling in love with each other it was very cute and I loved them.

Kimber and Fancy are fucking hilarious, I love these girls and I just love how Petra is there just wanting to watch the carnage that these girls are going to cause because that would just be me. But also the whole trip they were going on turned out to be absolute carnage.

Oh my god one of the scenes that stick into my head as Petra telling Rhino she was a Virgin. It was a scene that will stick into my head for a while just because it was so funny and the way she did it just will forever stick into my head.

The girls are fucking hilarious. These girls remind me of the girl gang from The Fallen Lords and how friendly and loyal they are with each other. It’s also even better when the girls are hungover because they are hilarious.

The way they tell each other they love each other is the cutest thing ever and I just love them.

So one thing that did really bug me in this is that the story was left on a cliffhanger like the last time I was this mad about a cliffhanger it was in Slayer’s book and oh my god. How dare the author end it there? I’m so mad about it. I mean it was so good but I am so mad about it. I cannot wait for the next book which is Queenie’s and I am so excited for it!

Brinks – Winter Travers

50026611. sy475
From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Winter Travers comes the ninth and final book in the thrilling Fallen Lords MC series.

Cora was mine.
No one knew it, but she was still mine.
Months of spending every spare minute together and then I was sent to keep an eye on Jenkins.
Cora’s brother.

Things went sideways.
The lunatic captured me, tortured me and then I was suddenly dumped at the feet of the Fallen Lords.

Now I was safe with my brothers, but suddenly she wasn’t.

Jenkins has what is mine, and I will do anything to get her back.
Cora was mine.

I’d like to thank Enticing Journey for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. I love the Fallen Lords MC series and I have read it numerous of times (you can check out my reviews of them: NickelPipeManiac, WreckerBoinkClashFreak and Slayer) So you can bet your chickens the moment this hit my kindle. I read it. I was not prepared. I mean I knew it was the last one in the series but I wasn’t prepared for it. I was still caught off guard and sad and shocked and I really don’t want this series to end just give me more. Although we do get to see Alice and Wrecker’s baby in a short novella I think at Christmas? Not a 100% sure about that. Also this review will contain spoilers. Also when I wrote notes for this “oh my gosh” has been written a lot.

So we finally get a wrap up of the Jenkins and stuff and in turn of that Cora. Back at book one, Cora was dropped at the clubhouse and told to stay there by Jenkins. At the end of Slayer we see Jenkins come back for Cora and gets his way by kidnapping Brinks who dun dun dun was sleeping with Cora. That was still the biggest shock from Slayer’s book and I was very eager to read about these two in their own book. And my expectations were met and I am in love with Brinks and Cora.

Oh my god my favourite thing when Brinks is back is he wakes up to Karmen, Wren and Alice trying to get all the gossip from Brinks about when him and Cora got together and I love it. It’s one of those scenes that remind you what a family they are. And how much they all mean to each other.

Brinks when our boy returns he is mad as hell. You can imagine that first Church back he was mad as hell over Cora being taken. Church was just a spin we see Oakley and Leo working together and that’s when we discover that Jenkins is into human trafficking and you guessed it, that is his plan for Cora.

We saw quite a few flashbacks in this book and it was scenes of Cora and Brinks together and oh my god I think they could be up there as one of my favourite couples from the Fallen Lords because they were so cute and adorable and when you think of them as a couple it’s kind of weird but when you see the scenes of them together you realise how cute they are and I love them.

Oh my god. Something hilarious in this book was the girls trying to make their own plan to go and get Cora back because they didn’t think the men were trying and oh my god the funniest thing ever when they are caught. One of my favourite scenes. It just makes me laugh that as soon as Brinks saw Alice was involved shit was going to get interesting and you know the man was right. This scene was laugh out loud funny. I also love that when Wrecker was taking Alice away to tell her off Brinks tells him to go easy on her and it’s the cutest thing. I love that Brinks sees how much the girls care for Cora and it makes him feel better being around them.

Jenkins has a bloody screw loose, who plans to sell their sister? Like seriously? I think that’s all I really need to say on that fool because honestly. He is such a screw loose.

I think for the first time in the fallen lords mc series we see one of the boys breaking down. This scene killed me with Wrecker and Brinks’ chat and god it destroyed me the way they spoke and it broke my heart. Just for Brinks to be so honest about how he’s feeling with Cora and his frustration over not being able to do anything until their plan starts moving. In that moment you see how close the brothers really are.

Also we discover how Brinks got his name in this book and I love it.

Cora and Brinks were giving me huge feels through this book and damn they were both hitting where it really hurt. I love that when they discover where Cora is Pipe, Slayer and Brinks all rush to go and rescue her and you can imagine it was everything you ever wanted it to be. The cuteness and love. I love them.

I love that they somehow managed to drop a small mean girls reference in:

“Get in losers were gonna knock a fucking house down”

I could not stop laughing when I read that it was so funny.

My babies together are perfect and when they return and Brinks proposes to her it is so cute and I love for the couple.

Jenkins is of course caught and it is revealed to the other brothers that when Jenkins couldn’t make a deal happen he would pimp out Cora. We see how much stronger she becomes and I love that she tells Jenkins this, that he sent her off to maybe be abused by another clubhouse instead the men and the girl gang made her stronger. And I love it. Been such a ride.

After Jenkins is dead and all is well we skip to Brinks and Cora’s wedding and oh my god it ended perfectly. The fact that Raven tells the girls that Clash is terrified of telling Wrecker that he knocked up his sister is hilarious.

I loved this series and it’s been such a ride and I am gutted it’s over and there will definetely be rereading in my future.

Slayer – Winter Travers

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling author Winter Travers comes the 8th installment in the Fallen Lords MC series.

An unexpected guest on the steps of the clubhouse turns Slayer’s world upside down. Scrambling to make sense of everything and adjusting to a life he never expected has Slayer asking for help from the last person he thought could ever help him.

Wendy.

Can the feisty woman be the one to help him, or will she realize Slayer and the new woman in his life is too much to deal with?

So I’d like to thank Enticing Journey book promotions for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. If you don’t know I am obsessed with The Fallen Lords MC and have read each of the books twice. So it starts with Nickel, Pipe, Maniac, Wrecker, Boink, Clash and Freak So you can bet your chickens that I dived straight into this book as soon the arc hit my kindle. I was not disappointed.

I loved this book, it threw a curve ball and damn I was living for it. Finding out Slayer has a daughter is a shock to everyone except Adley who seems to have all the answers Slayer needed. I do that between all of this Nickel manages to get enjoyment of Slayer finding out he’s a dad. I must say when Adley is dropped at the clubhouse I can’t believe her auntie just let her with a bunch of guys at an MC house like hello you don’t even know this guy you’re leaving your niece with.

Wendy and Slayer have been dancing ever since Freak’s book when he was forced to watch over her and damn the dance they’ve been doing has been hilarious. Especially when they refuse to call each other the right name and I love that even as they get comfortable with each other the game continues until when they do finally call each other’s the right now it’s so bloody cute.

I love that Wrecker just accepts everything that happens now, especially when Wendy calls God her Homie. Wrecker doesn’t even question it especially when he’s with Alice and all the weird shit that comes from her. Also I cannot wait for the Wrecker and Alice baby to come.

I live for the humour between everyone. I just like the bond they all have with each other and you can tell that they accept each other and respect each other. Alice, Carnie and Wendy are so adorable with Adley.

The proposal was beautiful. It was definetely a them kind of thing and I love that Adley was so excited for them both and was just so happy for her dad and Wendy.

So a mother fucking twist in her was Brinks going missing but that wasn’t it. The fact that Brinks and Cora had been fucking and nobody in the clubhouse didn’t know! Like girl was not expecting that it slapped me right in the face but honestly I kind of think I’m going to love their book when it’s out. Their book has been set up so brilliantly. Also can’t believe Jenkins drove an SVU into the clubhouse like what a lunatic.

My thoughts when I finished this book ended along the lines of “holy shit. Omg. I need Brinks now.” I mean even now I’m still with that statement. I cannot wait for the next book. Wendy and Slayer were perfect and I loved their book and I also loved Adley.

Freak – Winter Travers

Freak has watched his brothers fall for the women they love time and time again and is more than familiar with the signs of a man about to hand over his heart.
When Carnie comes tumbling into the clubhouse asking for help, all it takes is a bat of her innocent stare and sassy tongue for Freak to know what is about to happen. But when he finds out how old she is, he hesitates to stake his claim. As a Fallen Lord through and through, he will make sure to protect her even though he’s promised himself not to touch her.
Can Carnie convince Freak age is just a number, or is he on a one way track out of her life?

I’d like to thank Enticing Journey for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. If you have followed this blog for a while you will know that I went down a hole when reading these books and got myself heavily addicted.  I have read NickelPipeManiac, Wrecker and Boink and Clash from this series and loved each and every one of them.

Carnie was so sassy! I was not expecting how sassy she was, she was on fire at all times. When her man was in trouble damn did that girl go psycho when she found out. I loved Carnie for a 20 year old she was so mature and I loved it.

Freak. I loved Freak from the moment we saw him in these books and this book just reinforced my love for him even more. He knew from the moment he was looking after Carnie that he was going to fall in love with her. Freak had a real issue about Carnie only being 20 when he found out and I loved that he was trying to be sensitive but he was so making an issue out of it when it was not needed. Either way I loved it.

The connection between Carnie and Freak was amazing, I loved their chemistry from the moment they met to the end of this book. I liked how their relationship played out. The sex was written really well too.

So we were right into the craziness with these girls! It was so nice to be back in this world and with the girl gang who was as crazy as ever. Especially having pregnant Alice and Wren! Within moments of starting this books I was killing myself laughing. Especially when they were in church at the start and Boink got threatened by his woman and basically we learnt that deep down all the men are scared of the women.

There was so many amazing moments in this book that just was amazing. To start with Carnie’s mum walking in on church! Carnie hitting wrecker! That’s only some of the moments. Not only did we have the girl Gang with their banter, the MC brothers were hilarious and so much banter between them which I loved.

I am excited for Slayer, he is a mysterious one! The ending of the book gave me major needing Slayer’s book especially with him and Wendy and then a child appearing on his doorstep! It’s just I need the next book!

I fell in love with this book and you know I obviously love all these characters or I wouldn’t be reading the series still.

Clash – Winter Travers

43790259. sy475
Raven

Raven‘s secrets have shaped the woman she is; solitary and closed off. After being let down by the one person that should have always been there, Raven has built her wall up so high, nobody could possibly scale them. She takes care of herself. She has her own back. She might live surrounded by her brother’s club, the Fallen Lords MC, but the family and brotherhood they preach is a load of crap and she isn’t buying any of it.

Clash

Babysitting his president’s baby sister isn’t a hardship. Keeping Raven safe from the Ultra isn’t a problem for a man like Clash either. Keeping her from being destroyed by her inner demons is what threatens to bring him to his knees. When truths come to light and clash with reality, Clash is determined to be the one Raven can count on. Even if she refuses to admit it’s what she needs.

I’d like to thank Enticing Journey for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. I have read NickelPipeManiacWrecker and Boink from this series and loved each and every one of them.

Raven is interesting, she’s immediately on the defensive which makes me feel so bad for her. Raven’s backstory, oh gosh my heart broke when she revealed it (don’t want to say to much because of spoilers). A lot of her habits finally made sense for her. I feel like a huge part of Raven wants to blend into the girl group gang but another part of her is deathly afraid.

I love Clash I also love how on edge he is about Raven and her escaping. Wow I also must admit what a man to sit in the Salon and wait for Raven! I love that Clash is defending Raven and although he doesn’t want to piss of Wrecker he’s willing to defend her. I really like that he’s loyal to both Raven and the clubhouse.

These two are going to make the most interesting couple ever and their dynamic is so interesting. I can so tell the moment it changed between them. I loved their relationship. Another thing I also loved is Clash actually had parents, in the past books they’ve been non-existent and dead so it was a nice surprise seeing them in this but also that we got to see them.

Oh my god when they are all together it is fucking hilarious! Can’t stop laughing! I love the boys and the girls in this. The way Wren and Alice reveal their pregnant is honestly perfect the whole scene made me laugh especially because they were all laughing about Alice having to buy a new tail.

I really enjoyed the plot, characters and story. I also cannot wait for the next book! Like it has got me wanting it already! I don’t know if I love or hate the little cliffhanger for the next book but either way I need it.

Boink – Winter Travers

42737904. sy475
Letting his president’s sister get kidnapped was not Boink’s finest hour as a member of the Fallen Lords MC. Now it’s time to pay the price protecting the very woman who distracted him from his job in the first place.

Mayra needed a safe place to land and the Fallen Lords clubhouse was the perfect solution, until her past puts everyone in danger. Her only option is to leave with a man she swears can’t stand her.

This time Boink won’t fail protecting what is his. Whatever is coming for Mayra will have to go through him and the Fallen Lords first.

I’d like to thank Enticing Journey for sending me a copy of this book it is very much appreciated it is in preparation for the release of the latest book in the series. I read NickelPipeManiac and Wrecker.

Mayra was a very interesting character I love how all the girls manage to have some kind of fight in them when it comes to the men.

Boink I had to admit the origin for his road name is hilarious.

I feel like Mayra and Boink are going to have an interesting dynamic between them. And boy was I right I loved how their relationship developed to eventually being in love and being together. I really liked them both as a couple

OOOOO things got intense fast!! And things stayed bloody intense!!

We got to see some of the other girls in this but not as much as in earlier novels I will say this just gets me more invested for Raven’s book which is the next one.

I also love how much Wrecker complains about so many females being in the clubhouse and then totally gives into Alice about the girls having their own meeting place. I love the light hearted moments in this book it’s really what makes them all being together and that they all take the piss out of each other being pussy whipped.

I really enjoyed the plot of having the mafia introduced it made things he’ll of interesting. I really enjoyed the plot, characters and story!
