Royal Blood
The Brotherhood
(A reverse harem mafia romance)

Natalia has always known that she was promised to a man 25 years her senior. However, after the Novello brothers, come to the aid of her father Frank, everything changes.

Frank is king of the underworld. The Don of NYC. He has money, drugs, guns, thriving businesses and half the police force under his belt. So when he offers the brothers payment for helping him, he’s surprised when the only thing they demand is Natalia.

Unable to refuse their offer, Frank reluctantly hands over his only daughter to the Novello brothers and a war breaks out between the three families.

When duty and jealousy collide, the flames of temptation are fanned and the only thing standing in the way of bloodshed and war is the promise of seduction from the virgin daughter of Frank Costello.

Can there ever be life after the Brotherhood take their payment from her? Or does the ultimate betrayal lie in her own blood?

I’d like to thank Bare Naked Words for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. This is the first book I’ve read from this author and when I saw the description of this book I was like yess your girl needs to read this. It’s been a while since I read Reverse Harem so I was there. I was ready and in that aspect the book didn’t disappoint but what did disappoint was the plot which I’ll explain after I say all the good stuff about this book.

Sisco, Joey and Dominic what can I say about these men, all their personalities shined through perfectly and I loved that each of them had distinct personalities that you could see perfectly. Sisco the oldest and untamed, Dominic the middle child and takes all the responsibility when it comes to the business and their family. Joey the youngest and the carefree one. I loved the brothers and I just I think Dominic is my favourite.

The limo scene was hot as hell and honestly it gave me literally chills, and the way that Natalia refused to back down to Dominic I was like holy hell. That he wouldn’t touch her unless she begged and I love that he made her beg it was so good. The sex scenes written in this book was amazing and I loved them and they were just so good!

So now comes to my bad thing about the book and that is that the plot felt second to the book, the plot really didn’t feel developed enough and the ending just threw it completely off there was not hints throughout the book for that ending and it just threw it off and ruined it. I would have preferred to have hints throughout the book for it to make sense and it just didn’t. The plot was rushed way too fast, the author could have written at least another 100 odd pages to thicken the plot up and have at least be a vital part of this book. For me it felt like that the plot was an added extra to the reverse Harem like the author just needed a reason for Natalia to be handed over to the Novello brothers. I’m really disappointed because if there had been more attention to the plot and the story this book could have been amazing.

The book would have been better off having no plot and just being the reverse harem it really felt second and just useless. That being said I did love the reverse harem part of this novel.

Book 1 – Flame
Book 2 – Burn
Book 3 – Wildfire
Book 4 – Blaze
Book 5 – Ignite
Book 6 – Spark
Book 7 – Ember
Book 8 – Singe

I’d like to thank Bare Naked Words for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. I have never heard of this book or author before so I went in completely blind other than the blurb which caught my attention which is the way I like going into most stories to be fair. I had zero expectations but oh my I was blown away that much so I need to go back and read this author’s backlist because I am hooked and addicted and this story and these characters just had a way to drag you in and I am attached.

So the prologue to start with absolutely blew me away I was not expecting ti and honestly it hit me in the feels. The prologue was written amazing and honestly so good.

The situation went from 0 to 100 real quick and it went so fast yet was written so well I was literally like :O all the way through the start because it just went from fun happy moment to boom death and destruction and the author is a truly talented writer so good.

I loved the banter between Rebel and Rocco straight away the connection between these two characters, the sexual tension and the chemistry was off the charts. Like literal fire between them, a hot steamy and sexy relationship but they also had a connection and I really liked the bond these two have from when they first meet to the time jump.

Carmello is adorable and I am wanting his book please and thank you which is coming next and I am well on it. I love that even with 10 years no contact he is straight there when Rebel calls and I just love how supportive he is.

Adaline is the cutest ever, I work with little kiddos and she reminds me so much of them and honestly I do believe even this kid could get me wrapped around her fingers. I love that everyone fell for her charm almost immediately it was so sweet.

So as with all of these books I like to do some honourable mentions of my favourite scenes without spoilers and there are two scenes in this book that just take it for me.

The first one is Adeline going to sleep in Rocco’s bed when she hears him having a nightmare and honestly that is the most pure thing ever and so pure.

Second honourable mention I’m going to say two words here: Sub Sandwich 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 I almost cried laughing when this happened.

I absolutely adored this book and I cannot wait to read the next one in the series but also I have a load of new books to read including this whole backlist so I’ll be doing that.

Livin’ on the Edge – Winter Travers

It was just supposed to be one drunken night between Zephyr and Lynn.
One. Night.

Except Zephyr and Lynn can’t seem to stay away from each other.

With the club moving in a new direction, Zephyr needs to focus on club business.
Club business, that if they aren’t careful, could get more people killed.

Can Zephyr help Lynn balance on the edge of her family drama, and also focus on his own responsibilities to the club?

Everyone knows you don’t mess with the Kings of Vengenace, but sometimes people need reminding.

I’d like to thank Winter Travers for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. So this is book 6 in the Kings of Vengeance it is better read in order: Drop a Gear and Disappear, Lean Into It, Knees in the Breeze, Midnight Wreckage and Thrill Seeker. As I say better read in order due to the fact that each book has a overarching plot throughout each book.

So the book starts off straight from Lynn waking up in the clubhouse from her one night stand with Zephyr. She tries to rush away straight away but unlucky for her Zephyr refuses to leave her alone. Lynn goes through a lot she tries to help everyone and stretches herself so thin that she doesn’t leave much time for herself.

Zephyr instantly sets his sights on Lynn and he wants to do everything he can to try and relieve some of the pressure that Lynn deals with and tries to make her life a bit easier and taking some of the stress.

I loved Lynn and Zephyr together, their whole relationship was so cute I loved the bond that they had together and how supportive Zephyr was. I also loved that he made her set boundaries when it came to her patients and was making her take time for herself. I just loved the connection that both of these characters had. I also loved that when there was an argument or disagreement that they spoke about it like adults rather than letting it spill into something it’s not so I loved that.

This book did a great thing of adding to the overall plot, I’m obviously not going to say what happened because spoilers. But it did a great job at adding to it.

Honourable mentions for scenes as always with this book and no spoilers.

My favourite moment: When the boys scare Core in the basement with the casket oh my god I could have died laughing it was hilarious and so great.

My 2nd favourite honourable scene is of course book club makes me laugh all the time. I love the girls. Just love it.

Let me just say that I cannot wait for Brick’s book because the ending of this book got me so hyped. Like I need to know everything about him and Detective Kaye. So I need it now. Like asap give me the next book please and thank you…

Overall really enjoyed the book and can’t wait to see what Winter Travers does next!

Watch Me – Ker Dukey & K Webster

46824636. sy475
From international bestselling authors, Ker Dukey and K Webster, comes a fast-paced, hot, insta-love standalone lunchtime readfrom their KKinky Reads collection!

I like to watch.

It’s a compulsion I can’t stop.
Now, my desire is centered around one woman.
My obsession borders on stalking, but the glass wall keeps me in check.

She can’t see my face, yet she dances in an intensely erotic and intimate way that feels designed just for me.
She likes when I watch her.

But things are about to change when she waltzes out of that room and into my tattoo parlor, turning my world completely upside down.

There’s no glass wall this time.

This is a steamy, kinky romance sure to make you blush! A perfect combination of sweet and sexy you can devour in one sitting! You’ll get a happy ending that’ll make you swoon!

This is not a dark romance.

I’d like to thank the authors and Terrie the PA for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. I have read Share Me which I loved. I then read Choke Me and Daddy Me and they were mediocre for me, and this one. This brought it back!

I finally know what the other books were missing that this one had! It’s the connection between the characters as well as the angst! I love a book with some good angst in! The angst I was dying for, you could feel the characters pain and the love they felt for each other. I loved it.

I really liked seeing Lucca getting his happy ending, especially because now we sort of know that he didn’t mean to clip Sofina’s wings. I loved his character, it also made me chuckle that he didn’t recognise his dream girl as his ex-girlfriend.

There’s something that is revealed later in the book, I don’t want to go into much detail because spoilers. I loved that we got to see a different side to Lucca but we also know why Autumn was working where she was.

The story was hot, steamy and short. I loved this book so much more than the past two!

Share Me – Ker Dukey & K Webster

45304614
From international bestselling authorsKer Dukey and K Webstercomes a steamy reverse harem standalone story from their KKinky Reads collection!
They have one job.
Keep me safe.
But none of us are safe against the allure we have when we’re together.
Control and professionalism used to be something they prided themselves on.
But now that we’re secluded and alone, lines blur and control quickly loses to need.
Someone is trying to snuff out my life, but they may not get the chance if I’m devoured whole by my saviors first

I’d like to thank IndieSage PR for sending me an e-arc of this book it is much appreciated! I love their books and together both of these authors are amazing and I cannot wait to see what they have in store now!

Clove, I like her. I feel like she’s a bit of a people pleaser when it comes to her dad or her tool of a boyfriend. They all want to possess her rather than be with her, she needs to take a stand. She is cute and innocent and I love it!

Ford (the weapons specialist) , Leo (the open source intelligence agent) , Sebastian (he person who started it) and Zac (electronic security agent) my these four boys are immediately interesting and they definetely get your attention the way they work as a team. You can tell they trust each other with their life. I love how they each have their own little bond with her.

Sebastian finding Clove’s toy was hilarious. I love that she was embarrassed and he was so causal about it saying we all have needs. Leo is hilarious describing how they all lust over Clove it made me laugh out loud.

Holy shit that one from 0 to a 100 real fast! The action and the pace of this novel is fantastic! This story is intense, the connection between Clove and all of them is intense. You can practically feel it coming off the page! The sexual tension is real hot.

I love how the chapters are separated into the separate POVs but also that we know exactly what each of the men do if we forget.

Interesting that Leo and Seb also Zac have shared women before being Seb’s ex-fiancee. Seems they do it quite regularly. Rachel is a bitch, honestly there is kind of no need for the other women drama. I also don’t like how she’s slut shaming Clove. I did like that in the end they do become friends and that’s kind of cute I suppose. But yeah she was totally not necessary to appear in the plot.

Holy shit did not see that plot twist coming! The story went from 0 to a 100 real fast again by the end with that action. It was fantastic. The sex was written very well, hot sexy and kinky! I loved how they each had their own way of being with Clove and yet when they were all together they managed to work perfectly in sync with each other.

I love the happy ever after they got and it made my heart melt as well has the really hot sex of course. I really enjoyed reading this story and I can’t wait to see what Ker Dukey & K Webster come up with next but I know I’ll be reading it!

In The Crossfire – L.P. Dover

43573947
Secrets.
Lies.
Betrayal.
Murder.
I’ve gotten away with it all, but that won’t last forever.
I’m Bryce Chandler, FBI agent and member of the Circle of Justice, a covert organization that metes out retribution to those who’ve escaped the system without punishment. For the last year I’ve been deep undercover, doing unspeakable things to secure my place in the mafia world. These days I barely recognize the man in the mirror, but Anthony Corsino is finally in my crosshairs.
He’s entrusted me with the one thing he loves most—his daughter, Layla. She was just another detail of the mission, until she was suddenly so much more. I never meant to fall for the enemy, but I couldn’t resist. I’m in too deep. My brothers are determined to get me out, but I can’t let them interfere. It’s my job to put down the target. However, when I do, I’ll lose the only woman I’ve ever loved and the only good thing left in my life. If I don’t, I’ll lose myself.

I’d like to thank Give Me Books for sending me an e-arc of this it is very much appreciated.

I have been waiting for Bryce’s story and I am so excited for his story, I loved hearing about him from the others as well as him appearing in the story. So I couldn’t wait to read his and it didn’t let me down, it was amazing. I fell in love with Bryce and his story.

I loved the set up and plot, it was very interesting. I loved the twists and turns that came with this plot. Many times during this I had the massive thought of this is not going to end well. All the way through the story I was thinking this won’t end well for Bryce or Layla. It kept me hooked and on the edge of the seat all the way through. It was amazing. I fell in love with the story and plot.

Bryce I loved him. He was amazing, scary and caring all at the same time. He was brilliant and I loved him. I loved his confidence. Layla is blunt. I love blunt characters. She is strong, sassy and and caring. I love her. The connection between these two characters was amazing, I loved the sexual tension and I loved the connection that these two built over time. I loved them together they were so cute.

The story was going to break my heart and for the most part I was right, it did break my heart but then it mended it back together and it was perfect.

I love that he told Layla his real name without her really knowing it but it was cute.

The sex is written very well during this book and it flowed nicely into the story.

One of my favourite lines in this book was “yeah I shot him” she was so casual about it and it was honestly my favourite thing. Like once you get to the part where this book you will understand this comment totally. But I love it.

Another one of my favourite lines “Smack the shit out of him for being a dick” that’s Layla’s line and I love it.

Bryce’s proposal to Layla was beautiful.

I loved the story, the plot and characters it was beautiful.

Redemption – Wendy Million

56905455. sy475

Finn Donaghey turned himself into the FBI to protect Carys Van de Berg, the love of his life. Now serving multiple life sentences, he can’t save her from the dangers lurking outside.

Carys won’t accept a life without Finn in it. While she plots to break him out of jail, other shadowy figures seek ways to take them down.

After Carys is injured in an explosion, Finn teams up with unlikely allies to hunt down the perpetrators.

In pursuing retribution, can he finally find redemption?

I’d like to thank Wendy Million for sending me an e-arc of this book. This is the third book in the Donaghey Brothers and Retribution was book one, and Resurrection was book two, I recommend not reading this review if you haven’t read the other two because there will be spoilers for them as this is obviously the third book.

I had some hopes for this book which lets recap what they were just for the context of this review:

  1. I’d like to see Lorcan in this book but didn’t know if it was possible without getting the FBI and CIA involved and we didn’t want that.
  2. Carys, Lucas and Finn to be happy and living happily with Jay and Sofia and Lena.

So those were my two hopes for this book and I got them both sort of. In a way.

Finn. This man sent me in a spin so much I remember when I read Resurrection that my reaction was this is why you don’t fall in love with the criminal characters because realistically they never get their happy ending and I get attached and I spent way too much time in the 2nd book crying. I’m happy to report there was minimal crying for this one. I loved Finn, I mean I loved him before but I loved him even more. Especially when he stopped pushing Carys away and accepted that he needed her in his life. I love how much character development we get from Finn in this book and we see him actively wanting to do better and I loved that. I also loved that we got to see more criminal Finn too.

Carys. This girl surprised me in this book, not the whole loving Finn thing but I didn’t actually think she’d make a plan to try and break him out of prison. Like honestly this girl just radiates power and doesn’t take shit from anyone. I love that for her. But she also has weak spots which is her family which in the end is what leaves her exposed.

I loved seeing these two characters together again, their bond, their relationship I just loved it so much. Both of them together they are perfect for each other so many times through this book I was like no don’t set your heart on happy ending it will get crushed. I’m happy to report I was deadly wrong about that.

Lorcan. So surprisingly, he was in this book with Kim. I didn’t think we’d be seeing them again and it was a nice surprise especially when it helped Finn get his deal and his sentence changed. I loved how much Finn and Lorcan’s relationship grew during this and we see how much Finn does want his brother despite everything that has happened. I loved that we got to see them make amends and actually got closer to each other.

I loved that even surprising Finn and Kim managed to get on the same page let’s say and although she couldn’t forgive him for murdering her brother they managed to find some common ground when it came to Carys and Lorcan and I really liked that.

In a weird way by the end of it we got them all back together and learning that family isn’t just blood. Family is who is there for you. I loved that message from the book it was one of my favourite.

This book was so much more than I thought it would be, the twists, the turns I didn’t see what was coming until it hit you in the face. Wendy Million is very good at writing her books in a way that you get the information when you need it but in a way that it’s not written obvious. I love the way the clues are written into this book. I was open mouthed so much through this book. I am really sad this series is over because I could just read books of them living the normal life and I would be happy.

I don’t want to go into the plot too much but just know the stakes are high and the twists and turns just keep coming. You are so much better going into this book not having a clue, actually it’s the best way to go into the series not having a clue. I loved it. The story and the characters are ones that are going to stay in my heart for a long time.

Before I end this review I just want to say thank you to Wendy Million, when I got to the end of this book I noticed that my name was in the acknowledgments as thank you to all your first reviewers from Resurrection. I did shed a little tear when I saw my name, and thank you very much. Mainly Wendy thank you for writing the Donaghey Brothers and their stories.

Aim – L.P. Dover

When someone asks what I do for a living, I answer it plain and simple . . . I’m a hunter. I hunt the dregs of society and I’m very damn good at it.
Do I like to kill people? No, but it’s part of my job.
I’m Ian Chandler, FBI agent and a member of the Circle of Justice, an organization of justice seeking vigilantes. My mission is to solve a string of ‘accidental’ hiking deaths occurring around my Wyoming town. When Grace Myers –a woman who’s been missing for days –shows up on my land, it turns out she’s the key to it all. Someone is hunting her, and I make it my duty to keep her safe.
However, the deeper I get into the case, the more dangerous it becomes; especially, now that I’ve fallen for the woman I have to protect. If hunting is the game, I won’t fail. I always hit my mark.

So I would like to thank give me books promotions for sending me an arc of this book! I loved this I signed up for the blitz because the description sounded fabulous! And that was exactly what I got. The beginning of this story reminded me of an episode of Criminal Minds and Sea patrol and I absolutely loved it! It was action packed from the beginning and it was fantastic it didn’t slow down. Everything felt urgent, life or death and I loved it.

The writing was amazing I could really feel the emotions as well as the stakes, you could feel the fear and when she felt safe and you could even feel how both Ian and Grace felt about each other as well as family and friends. I loved feeling those things from the writing, it’s been a while since I have managed to feel that from a book so it was amazing.

I really liked that Grace and Ian already knew each other and had that connection and or they had to do was act on it, from both of the characters you could tell that there was a bond there and I loved it.

I also loved the FBI side of the story especially Ian being a killer/hunter although probably vigilante would be a better word, especially as he kills bad people and scum of the earth. I loved how all of his family was involved with the FBI too and I enjoyed the family aspect from Reed, Ian and Bryce. I loved Reed and Grace’s friendship and how they bonded when Ian was out getting information on who wanted Grace dead. I loved how Grace and Bryce meet for the first time, she does not expect Ian to be an identical twin and that was one of my favourite parts of this book. It made me laugh so much and I really did love it. I really liked how Grace was not scared of the job they do and understand that it is necessary for them to keep evil out the world.

The plot kept me hooked the romance did not overtake the story, there were no plot holes and everything for me fitted correctly nothing seemed out of place. I felt the reasons for wanting people dead in this novel were pretty pathetic but then again they were pretty pathetic people.

Grace is a very strong willed character and knows how to take care of herself and it shows when she quits her job and when it came to paying her rent for the apartment when she was “Dead.” There were great characters and great story! I would love to read the others in the series because if it is anything like this it’s fantastic!

Writing Dirty -Alley Ciz

51037872. sy475
“I’ve always been her shelter in the storm.”

Hockey players.
MMA fighters.
Rock stars.
The boys in blue.
Even sexy SEALs have all offered to slay my dragon—or in my case, my stalker.

Why can’t they get it through their thick, stubborn heads that I can take care of myself?
I’m no damsel!
But…
What if the real villain in this story is me?

Now the one person I’ve never been able to resist has appointed himself as my protector.

I don’t know what’s more at risk—my life or my heart.

WRITING DIRTY is an interconnected stand-alone of the BTU Alumni squad with scenes steamy enough to inspire this romance writing Covenette. This laugh out loud rom-com features a cast of characters who don’t know how to stay in their lane, a heroine who refuses to be a damsel, and a hero determined to prove he can deliver one hell of a happily ever after.

I’d like to thank Give Me book promotions for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated this is book number 5 in the BTU Alumni series and I love this world so much and it’s one of my favourites. I read Power Play, Tap Out, Sweet Victory and Puck Performance. I love this world and it will always be one of my favourites to dive back into this world. I love how as always we get all the names from the text chain at the beginning it’s definitely one of my favourite things.

So I have loved Maddey since we first met her all those books again, I was so happy to know that our Queen of Smut was finally getting her ending because she definitely deserved it. I was hoping it would be with Ryan but it did not turn out to be him it turns out she denied his proposal and they broke up but are still really good friends. I was sad about that but I definitely was not disappointed with who her hero actually was.

Dex. He was definitely a different character one who wouldn’t bend to what Maddey wanted or be took control of when it came to her protection. I loved him and how much he cared for her and trying to not fall for her or let anybody know how he felt which obviously doesn’t happen.

So we first start this book with when Dex gets there Maddey does no more than tasers him in the balls. It was so funny and I was dying of laughter. One thing this couple did was keep me on my toes and I loved it, I loved how their relationship slowly grew into what it was and the connection these two had as well as the sexual tension between them both was off the charts.

I did not expect who the stalker was it came as a complete surprise to me and I did not see it coming! I still can’t believe he used the poor doggos as a distraction like what a bastard. I mean I know stalking is bad but you know those poor doggies. Thankfully they survived what he did. My priorities are weird there aren’t they?

So one of my favourite moments in this book is when Maddey’s brothers find out she and Dex are together. Their reactions are hilarious and the fact they were betting on how long it would take them to get together is even more funny. I loved that they just basically knew Dex was the right person for Maddey and they were just waiting for them two to see it.

I love the text chains and I love how they all react to her stories I love the supportive friends and it’s so good! I’m glad Maddey finally got her happy ending and I loved it!

Ashton Morgan Apartment 17B – Aly Stiles

56180072. sy475

An angsty and emotional new adult romance that can be read as a standalone.

Ashton Morgan doesn’t have a chance.

With a young brother and an immature mother to support, he had no choice but to drop out of college to keep his family afloat. But the day his future came crashing down was just the beginning of a tortured journey that won’t let him up for air.

College student Iris Alexander has everything—except the person who’s captured her heart. As the daughter of a billionaire, she understands why the captivating young landscaper is wary of her and her lifestyle. But the harder she tries, the harder he resists. If only she can convince him that he’s the only real treasure in her flashy world.

She needs a purpose.
He needs a lifeline.

They’ll both need each other to survive the present and fight for a future.

I’d like to thank Aly Stiles and her PA for sending me an arc of this book it is very much appreciated. This is the first book I have read by this author and boy it did not disappoint. I was destroyed by this book emotionally and not even half way through did I start crying. Being New Adult you expect a certain amount of light heartedness and not generally hard hitting emotional stories, the kind where it hits you right in the feels.

From the moment we’re introduced to Ashton I felt so bad for him having to give up school to deal with his mother just so he can care for his brother after discovering she is up to her eyeballs in debt. Since that moment Ashton has worked as much as possible to help provide for his brother. Ashton is responsible, he’s a hard worker, he doesn’t let himself hope after having it taken away once already.

Iris is carefree she is the complete opposite to Ashton, her father is a billionaire and she doesn’t have to worry about much other than her university. She instantly lays her eyes on Ashton and she’s determined to get him, even if it means pushing herself into his life and not stopping until she’s got his attention. Iris is so kind and lovely and honestly I loved her character she was strong willed and feisty.

I really loved how strong willed Iris was and how much she was not willing to give up. I loved the connection between Ashton and Iris the banter these two had with each I loved it. They made me laugh quite a few times. I loved how their relationship developed and the moment Ashton finally stops pushing Iris away and they have their first kiss is spectacular it’s like hallelujah finally.

Many times through this book I was crying, this book hit me in the feels it was so emotional and so many times through this book I just wanted to give Ashton a hug and never let him go.

I really enjoyed the relationship that Iris and her dad had the honesty and the way he treated Ashton was also so lovely. I really liked the relationship that her dad, Kyle, and Ashton grow to have throughout the book. I loved that he was willing to champion for him and believe him and give him options when he really thought he was out of options.

Ashton’s mum and Iris are scum and I do not like them and they deserve to be hit by buses. Iris especially. What she does just made me really angry and honestly she deserved so much worse to happen to her.

I really enjoyed this book I will definitely be reading more from Aly Stiles I really liked her writing and the way she writes her books and her characters making me fall in love with them and I just I loved this book so much.
