PLAYING FOR KEEPS is book 3 in the U of J Series and cannot be read as a stand-alone. It picks up right after the epic cliffhanger in GAME CHANGER. Our rainbow-haired sass queen is out to prove her Caveman isnโ€™t the only alpha in their relationship to win their #HEA.

I’d like to thank Wildfire Marketing Solutions for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated I read the first one Looking To Score and the second one Game Changer. You need to read those two before you read this book otherwise it will not make sense. I think it goes without saying don’t read this review if you haven’t read the other two books because you’ll be spoiled as I will refer to things in the past books.

So we pick up straight from that cliffhanger in the last book where we don’t know what happened to Kay after being hit. Let me tell you this was hella stressful, the wait to find out how this ended. I was so stressed. Anyway so she is carted straight to hospital where we get to see scared/angry/stressed out Mason and honestly I love seeing him that way.

The family and friends in this book honestly it feels like home and I love that despite the high tension situation of Kay recovering in hospital that we still get to have the banter between all the characters and that there was some normalcy for them. Honestly I wish I had family and friends like the ones in this book, it’s so precious and so special.

I love that we have so much fun with the shirts in this book especially when Kay is making them and the ones she wears for Mason. I love that they become a whole thing and just everyone loves them. Honestly it’s just so fun.

The world and characters are so special. Whilst I was reading this I was like I don’t even need a plot, I could just read books with all the characters living day to day life and I would totally be fine with that. Alley’s writing is just amazing so gripping and honestly I just want to forever read her books.

One of my favourite scenes is that computer/phone sex. If you’ve read this you know but oh my god so sexy and hot and honestly it’s so, like I don’t have words but spicy.

I love Travis and honestly I hope he gets his own book and I can’t wait. The way he stuck up for Mason and Kay when the press was asking stupid questions, it was like yes! That’s the person we need in all our lives like we need a Travis.

Also I love the instagram posts like they just make me chuckle and honestly I could just imagine sitting there posting as well. It’s great. They’re hilarious. They just get better and better and make me chuckle so much.

I really loved being back in this world and I cannot wait to read more from Alley Ciz which I do believe we have a Savvy story coming and we have CK and Quinn’s story which I am really excited for!

Overall this was a perfect ending to Kay and Mason’s story and I loved reading every bit of it.
