Joanie Fox can’t wait to settle down and marry the man of her dreams. However, when her engagement starts to look more stalemate than soulmate, her best friend stages an intervention sure to make even the most hardened, serial daters wince: 10 Dates in 10 Days.
Statistically, if you kiss a lot of frogs there’s bound to be at least one that’s not a complete toad, isn’t there? With nothing to lose, Joanie embarks on a crazy rollercoaster of blind dates. After all, what can possibly go wrong in the search for Mr. Right?
10 Dates is a standalone, sexy, laugh out loud romantic comedy with a happy ending. It is not for the feint hearted and is best suited for readers over the age of eighteen due to sexual themes and mature content.
Lately I’ve been in a real book slump, I have been struggling to read books and then this one kept stalking me on my facebook newsfeed and honestly there was one thing that made me read it. There was a scene that was advertised where Joanie had pot cookies and she was on a date with a police officer and that was hilarious. The snippet just made me laugh and then I thought you know what? I’m going to read this. Read it I did. I devoured the book.
I really loved Joanie’s personality, I also loved how fast she binned Chris when she realised he wasn’t going to propose to her. Also the fact that she just wanted to make her friend Melinda happy by agreeing to go on these dates. She was so sassy especially when it came to number Six.
I loved Six. I don’t want to say his name because you find out in the book and I love how just up until the end he is just referred to as Six and he refers to her as number Four and I loved it. He was so funny, and so coy and mysterious. He only revealed things as he needed to. I also thought their first meeting was hilarious especially as she grabbed his dick.
They were really cute as a couple I loved when he took care of her after she bruised her butt on a date. I really loved how caring he was and that he was willing to stay by her side.
I loved the dope cookies scene. Hilarious.
Mikey and Melinda are great friends. I loved that we had such positive friendship shown in this book and that it was a big part of the book. Melinda and Mikey were such a present thing in the book.
Chris was an absolute tosser. The way he treated Joanie was disgusting, especially when he came back when he didn’t make it in New York and he was basically trying to use her for a place to stay. He was an absolute asshat.
I loved the plot and the idea of 10 dates in 10 days it was really unique and I can’t wait to read the next book in the 10 series so to speak. I really loved the characters. I really enjoyed this book and it was exactly what I needed.
