I’d like to thank Enticing Journey for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. I have never heard of this author and they are a new to me author and I am very excited to read it. Although I am really craving a hockey book so this better be up to my standards.
Very interesting Prologue starting from Zack. It’s nice that we although saw the cocky side of him but also saw the more honest side at the same time. It’s interesting. I love seeing Zack struggling with the anxiety through this and it’s not just used as a plot device like so many times in NA. I love jealous Zack! Interesting!
Sugar is so self conscious and thinks that she’s not anybody and that she is nothing. That’s really sad. Sugar bless her I feel so sorry for her that her dad’s family doesn’t want anything to do with her and she’s still trying to prove herself to them.
A very interesting friendship building between them, they have sex and then become friends. I like it. I like that they have some things to bond over too. They have really good banter with each other, and I like the connection that both of these characters have. They are so cute together! Their connection is hot and sizzling! You can feel the sexual tension coming off the page.
Sugar finding out she looked like Willow is heartbreaking. My heart is breaking for both of my babies.
I love a fake boyfriend trope! One of my favourites! I love the contract for the fake dating it’s amazing.
I really love Poppy and Taylor Sugar’s friends they are really supportive of her!
I also love Eric he’s hilarious! I feel like he is slightly insensitive to Zack’s anxiety but I think more that they don’t understand it.
Veronica is a bitch! So toxic.
This book was a perfect happy ever after. It was so cute and I loved it. The characters were great I loved how all of them not just the main ones were real and not just 2D so to speak. I also love the anxiety issue in the book wasn’t just brushed over and we saw not only Zack dealing with it, but Sugar too. I loved the plot, the story and the characters.
