Slow Burn – Danielle Norman

Paris had changed me.
I wasn’t talking about the city,
I was referring to Paris Jean Kelly.
From the first time we held hands on the school bus to our first kiss, we’d been moving toward one thing, the day I’d ask her to be mine.

How was I to know that she thought friends couldn’t be lovers?
Well…I’m going to prove her wrong.
When her world turns upside down…I’ll be there.
When she’s feeling lost…I’ll be there.
After all, it’s not about the spark or the fire…
It’s all about the Slow Burn.

Where oh where do I start with this book I’d like to thank L.Woods PR for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. So if you follow my blog you know I love her books I’ve read Enough, Almost, Impact, OftenRoadster and the first book of this series which is Stetson.

This book was following Paris this time I really enjoyed her character in Roadster so it was interesting to see from her point of view. I felt so bad for Paris the hatred she carried for herself broke my heart and her view on everything was so distorted. It really broke my heart when we saw the scene over her mum leaving and the pain Paris felt it almost made me cry. I loved how Danielle Norman can write and you can really feel what these characters are feeling.

I loved Asher he was so willing to drop everything and just help Paris. He was such a lovely guy and I loved that finally when the unrequited love was finally admitted they gave it a go. It was so cute. I loved how he wasn’t willing to allow her to push him away. Great persistence.

I loved Ellie. She was a new character in the story I do believe she’s in this one to set up Holland’s story as she is their neighbours’ sister and it’s hilarious reading her paying out her brother. She was such a great addition to these characters.

Wow Cora was an asshole and that’s all I have to say on that matter.
