The Enforcer’s Oath: Protect the club at all costs.

Jackal made an enemy out of Penni when he kidnapped her years ago. He let her go, never imagining she would take a piece of his soul with her. Now protecting Penni against a former brother will force him to place the club against her once again.

She may be the Hostage, but he’s the one held captive by the lust she refuses to admit binds them together.

She thinks The Last Riders and another man will be all the protection she needs to end the tug of war between them. However, he’s never lost a battle, especially against a tiny blonde with an attitude, begging him to teach her that her place is under him.

To end the battle, he’s going to have to reclaim the piece of soul she stole from him or claim a part of her soul as prisoner.

When a predator takes you hostage, you’re his forever.

So I started this by reading Razer’s RideViper’s Run and Knox’s stand and Sex PistonTeasedTaintedShade’s FallKingCash’s FightFat Louise, Riot, Shade, Stand Off, Lucky’s Choice, Keeping What’s His, Merry Blissmas and now Hostage. I would highly reccommend reading it in the order I have just put above because the series is so much better that way!

There will be spoilers.

From the moment we met Penni we knew her story was going to be amazing and oh my god it did not disappoint me at all. Knowing she was Shade’s sister and if she was anything like him it was going to entertaining as hell and it was. So we first see Jackal and Penni together when he kidnaps her to use as leverage against The Last Riders and as you can imagine Penni was furious!

I really liked Jackal although he was a complete asshole he pretty much knew the moment he saw Penni he was going to have her and he wasn’t giving her up and I love the determination from him especially when everyone else believes he’s no where close getting here.

I love Grace and Penni’s friendship they are so cute I love how protective Penni is of Grace and cares for her.

Ice was more like Ice we knew from his book rather than the one we got from Max’s but oh my god. Ice had me killing myself laughing when Jackal was talking about Penni and how he’s going to be with her he says:

“You doing crack?”

I laughed so hard whilst reading that scene it was so funny and it reminded me of the Ice from his book. I really liked Ice and Jackal’s friendship with each other and Jackal’s loyalty shines through so much.

Penni always manages to get herself into situations when she was kidnapped again I honestly could do nothing but shake my head like how does she manage to get herself held hostage again by another biker club. Especially because of how many times Grace told her to fill up her petrol and she didn’t which is how she ended up being where she was.

I was surprised that Jackal’s dad was the one who cut Jackal so bad! Like his dad is a dickhead.

I love that as soon as Penni’s in trouble everyone is willing to throw Shade into it, Penni uses him as a threat, the Predators willing to let Shade deal with their mess until they released who was involved. I just love how Shade is the threat everybody uses.

When Jackal first comes to see Penni at the clubhouse the first thing Penni does is hit and call out Jackal and then only after does she think to ask if he’s come to get her out of this messy situation and take her home. Like such an afterthought.

I love Penni and Jackal giving each other a second chance and rather than fighting and arguing with each other trying to be on the same page whilst he’s keeping her safe from Hennessy and trying to find Striker who took the money and drugs. I love how they bonded and how Penni began to care about him without even realising.

And as always ladies and gents Shade saves the day at the rally with The Last Riders, it amuses me that him, Cash and Razer basically kidnap her out the hotel where she is with Jackal. Our boy knows how to protect his sister and I love Penni’s only request is not to kill Jackal.

It’s weird how much Penni has a crush on Train like you wouldn’t think it from the other books there was no clue at all.

Like Shade, Penni shows she cares in strange and bizzare ways, I love that when Penni is waiting for everyone to come back to The Last Riders clubhouse when she sees that Jackal was beat up she is furious at Shade and like girl is protecting her man but she doesn’t even realise it yet. The more time Penni spent with Jackal the more she begin to show she cared and I honestly love the relationship Penni and Jackal have they are so cute and the chemistry between them.

Haha Shade hiding from Sex Piston and her crew is seriously hilarious, like big bad Shade still don’t want to fuck with the crazy bitches. Also Penni willing to leave Jackal behind so she doesn’t have to deal with Shade is everything. Every man for himself.

So eventually Penni and Jackal go back to Queen City all happy and loved up until the clubhouse is bombed by the Cartel and Jackal breaks up with Penni because he believes he didn’t do his job as the Club enforcer very well.

And oh my god Penni’s heartbreak hurts so bad, the way she was missing Jackal and then when she was on tour with Shade coming to see her and he is the big brother we all need. But oh my god when he called her “Butterfly” my heart utterly broke and I could no longer hold it in. I cried like a baby.

I loved the ending it was perfect, the way Penni made Jackal find her once he returned home from dealing with the Cartel. By being at the Strip club in one of the private rooms, she did a whole big speech which was perfect only she forgot to give Jackal the combination to get into the room which was a total Penni room and then our babies made up. Although I do find it hilarious that Penni missed the piercing’s on Jackal’s dick and wants him to put them back in.

Penni’s reaction when she discovered that Shade has closed her “emergency only card” that she’d been using to pay for the room is funny.

I loved that we saw Penni having a baby, and honestly a Jackal and Penni baby is the cutest thing I can ever imagine. I really loved their story and their relationship and it certainly did keep me in a spin. It was a perfect story for these two!
