This is the third book in the wicked kingdom series so if you haven’t read book 1: Mark Of Truth or book 2: Crown Of Betrayal do not read this review because you’ll be spoiled for the first 2 books, although I’m not sure why you’d be reading a review for a 3rd book in the series. But you never know.
I’d like to thank Bare Naked Words for sending me an earc of this it is very much appreciated! Graceley Knox may one day end up killing me, each and every one of her books in this series has gotten so much better! Like she is a magical person I don’t know how she does it but these books are magical and I love them and I love how she makes me feel about them.
When I started this I instantly felt sorry for Ever she felt way more beat down in this story not that I can blame her obviously after book 1&2 but in the beginning of this book, she didn’t have that spunk and fight she usually did. BUT. Halfway through she got it back and it was like she came back stronger and more savage with everything. I loved it. I loved seeing both sides of Ever and that she did get beat down from having to take the brunt of what was happening and making a decision so I really did like seeing that side.
Dare. I love my baby Dare. The way he looks after Ever and everyone else around him. I just love him. I think that’s all I need to say about Dare.
I loved Ever and Dare and I really really hope they turn out to be mates if they go through all this and they aren’t mates I’m going to be so mad! I loved how they could get lost in each other and that their relationship continues to grow. The sex scenes are written great, I also loved that the problem of contraception came up in this book because it did cross my mind like do they have it? Are they using it? So it was really nice for that to pop up in this book also that they did talk about kids. So, Graceley Knox, you’ve set me up for hope if you shoot me down, I’ll cry.
GARGOYLES. MY BABIES. I loved the fleet of babies that Arela ends up having and I just love them. I think I could read a whole book to do with these gargoyles when they show up they make me happy. I love it.
Arela she was so much stronger in this book and I loved seeing how she bounced back from what happened in book 2 with being kidnapped and tortured. She was just trying to deal with it, and I loved how she did bounce back. I also loved the relationship between Arela and Ever it was so nice to see them bond and want to take care of each other. But yes I loved both Arela and Ever’s relationship with the gargoyles.
One of my favourite scenes in this book is when they stormed into MECA best thing ever. If you read this book you will know exactly what scene I’m talking about! But it was fucking fantastic! My favourite thing in this book.
WHY CLIFFHANGERS? WHY?! I mean it was a fantastic cliffhanger I loved it. I mean, what? DOYLE. DOYLE. DOYLE. I just. My heart cannot get over this I need the next book I need it. I need it now. I just my heart. This book just is fantastic. They just keep getting better and I really don’t know what is going to happen next but I can assure you that I will be reading the next book. If you want to read a series. Read this it will not disappoint you!
I loved this book. It destroyed me. I need the next one.
