Twisted Desire – Jessi Elliot

42282399. sy475
Being left to lead the fae alongside an annoyingly charming partner was never part of the plan.

Skylar Chen is about to receive the promotion of an eternity. After Tristan and Aurora decide to trade their esteemed status for the chance at a normal life, Skylar is chosen to lead the fae.

The catch? She has to work with Nikolai Sterling. With his constant smirks and annoyingly good looks, he has a way of getting under Skylar’s skin like no other. Despite this, she’d still rather get under him.

Sexual tension aside, they have a bigger issue to deal with: The Experiment—a human organization built solely on hatred of the fae, which threatens to wipe their kind from existence.

In preparation for battle, Skylar and Nikolai work side-by-side to recruit allies and bring the fae together.

Fighting to protect her people is something Skylar can manage. But the skeletons in her designer closet make opening up to Nikolai a far more difficult task—even as they set out to bring down the organization set on destroying them.

I’d like to thank Enticing Journey and Jessi Elliot for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated, also this is very late. I read Twisted Fate & Twisted Gift and I loved them, Tristan and Aurora was a great story so when I heard Jessi say she was doing a story on Sky and Nikolai you could tell that was just going to be a fantastic story and it lived up to expectations that is for sure.

I really loved the chemistry between Sky and Nikolai the connection they have also so many times through this novel I was just like guys talk to each other. A lot of their issues could have been solved by a conversation I mean if you forget the part where they are in a war. I loved the banter between Sky and Nikolai and these two were cute as hell.

One thing that I did really notice in this book was Max not being there if you’ve read the first two books you know exactly what happened to him but I really missed his presence in this book and the relationship that he had with Sky you really felt the missing of it here.

I thought it was hilarious when we saw Alison telling them off it really does amuse me when they got told off.

So we learn from Skylar that she was abused in her past and I loved how we saw how she became friends with Tristan and Max and how they pretty much saved her from her ex.

Skyler realising she loves Nikolai is a really beautiful moment and I love how it’s Aurora’s mum that helps her realise. I love that she also kept ringing her whilst Aurora was away.

I must say Jessi really knows how to write sex scenes and dman the girl is good and she did some incredibly hot sex scennes and they are written so well!

So there is something in here that is revealed and damn it shocked me like hell! I did not see it coming at all and it was a total surprise and the pain that came with it when this thing was revealed. It hit me in the feels and the tension when that was discovered along with the war ending damn it was written so good!

The one thing I am gutted about is that we didn’t get to see a reunion from everyone seeing Tristan and Aurora. I really wanted to see that and was gutted when I didn’t see it.

Other than that I really liked the book and I was very excited when I heard there was going to be another book with Jackson who was introduced in this book and I can see it’s just going to be as good as these books!
