February Wrap up

Oops. So I forgot to do my wrap ups for the last couple of months so here we are. I read a whopping 11 books that month and 5 of them were rereads! I am really loving my rereads at the moment!

  1. The Deal – Elle Kennedy
She’s about to make a deal with the college bad boy…

Hannah Wells has finally found someone who turns her on. But while she might be confident in every other area of her life, she’s carting around a full set of baggage when it comes to sex and seduction. If she wants to get her crush’s attention, she’ll have to step out of her comfort zone and make him take notice… even if it means tutoring the annoying, childish, cocky captain of the hockey team in exchange for a pretend date.

…and it’s going to be oh so good.

All Garrett Graham has ever wanted is to play professional hockey after graduation, but his plummeting GPA is threatening everything he’s worked so hard for. If helping a sarcastic brunette make another guy jealous will help him secure his position on the team, he’s all for it. But when one unexpected kiss leads to the wildest sex of both their lives, it doesn’t take long for Garrett to realize that pretend isn’t going to cut it. Now he just has to convince Hannah that the man she wants looks a lot like him.

So this was a reread for me I really enjoyed The Deal. I also love the abs covers but I am very sad that they are not there anymore. I loved the chemistry that Garret and Hannah have for stories the chemistry is always so important for me. I fell in love with their relationship so fast and I just loved them both so much they gave me all the feels. I have to say the sex scenes were written very well. I loved the side characters, Dean should learn to knock! There’s a certain place in this book where I literally wanted to scream at Dean for not locking or actually Garret for not having a lock on his door! I loved Beau, I really enjoyed this chapter. To be honest I loved all the side characters which is why I know for a fact I will be reading the other books in this series and I can’t wait until I get to dive in and read them!

  1. Man Crush Monday – Kirsty Moseley
50311208. sy475
Perma-single Amy Clarke prides herself on three things: her pink hair, her Converse collection, and her ability to drink copious amounts of margarita without puking. She isn’t looking for love. She’s perfectly content with her simultaneous love affairs with Netflix and both Ben and Jerry. The trouble is, sometimes, love finds you.

Five months ago, he climbed aboard her train, and nothing has been the same since. Fast-forward to now, she still doesn’t know his name, but she knows she wants his babies.

Her crush—this tall, dark, and handsome dork who gets on her train every other Monday—has no idea he brightens her day with his panty-wetting smile and laugh that makes her pulse quicken.

When a chance encounter outside of work forces them to have their first proper conversation, things quickly go from loving him from afar to up close and very personal. With a string of disastrous exes in her past, has Amy finally found her Mr Perfect? Or does fate have other plans?

A new stand-alone romcom from Kirsty Moseley, best-selling author of The Boy Who Sneaks in My Bedroom Window and Nothing Left to Lose.

So this book was so cute and I caught all the feels. I absolutely love Jared and Amy and it was well worth the wait from Kirsty!

  1. The Mistake – Elle Kennedy
He’s a player in more ways than one…

College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance.

Now he’s going to need to up his game…

After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild.

My review for this book will be coming very soon! I loved Grace and Logan’s relationship and I loved all our side characters coming in and I just love it! I loved Logan’s friends as always, Tucker, Dean and Garret I love their friendship and that in the end they all their for each other. I also loved Grace’s friend Daisy and Morris like they were all the proper true friends!Romana was actually a disgusting friend the way she just straight tried to jump on Logan after he and Grace had broken up. I was like ain’t no loyalty there she was a terrible friend.

  1. The Score – Elle Kennedy
He knows how to score, on and off the ice

Allie Hayes is in crisis mode. With graduation looming, she still doesn’t have the first clue about what she’s going to do after college. To make matters worse, she’s nursing a broken heart thanks to the end of her longtime relationship. Wild rebound sex is definitely not the solution to her problems, but gorgeous hockey star Dean Di Laurentis is impossible to resist. Just once, though, because even if her future is uncertain, it sure as heck won’t include the king of one-night stands.

It’ll take more than flashy moves to win her over

Dean always gets what he wants. Girls, grades, girls, recognition, girls…he’s a ladies man, all right, and he’s yet to meet a woman who’s immune to his charms. Until Allie. For one night, the feisty blonde rocked his entire world—and now she wants to be friends? Nope. It’s not over until he says it’s over. Dean is in full-on pursuit, but when life-rocking changes strike, he starts to wonder if maybe it’s time to stop focusing on scoring…and shoot for love.

Allie and Dean are my favourite couple and they always will be. I loved the fact that Dean was trying to fix all of his past mistakes after he and Allie had a little break due to something (this is me trying to not spoil things). He tried to fix all his past mistakes and I loved that.

My review will be coming soon for this.

  1. The Kissing Booth – Beth Reekles
40136958. sy475
Meet Rochelle Evans: pretty, popular–and never been kissed. Meet Noah Flynn: badass, volatile–and a total player. And also Elle’s best friend’s older brother…

When Elle decides to run a kissing booth for the school’s Spring Carnival, she locks lips with Noah and her life is turned upside down. Her head says to keep away, but her heart wants to draw closer–this romance seems far from fairy tale and headed for heartbreak.

But will Elle get her happily ever after?

So this is an old favourite of mine and it’s very hard to critique it just because it holds a special place in my heart especially as I remember all them years ago. Beth writing it on wattpad and I would be sat there waiting for the next part to update. Oh those were the days. I love this book and it will always be a favourite.

  1. Going The Distance – Beth Reekles
44298619. sy475
The amazing new sequel to Netflix’s smash-hit film, The Kissing Booth!

Elle Evans seems to have finally tamed hotter-than-hot bad boy Noah Flynn, but now they’re facing a new challenge. Noah’s 3,000 miles away at Harvard, which means they’re officially a long-distance couple – and it’s tough. After all, there’s only so much texts and calls can satisfy – and when Elle sees a post which suggests Noah’s getting friendly with someone else, she’s devastated.

On top of that, it’s hard to ignore new boy Levi. He’s gentle, sweet, cute – and definitely interested in Elle.

With her heart on the line, what’s a girl to do?

Join Elle, Noah, Lee and all your favourite Kissing Booth characters for another amazing romantic story that’s sure to have you swooning.

So I can tell you this book destroyed me and I spent majority of this book crying all the way through. It hit right in the feels and I love it. And I have no idea if I’ll ever be able to write a review on this because I just love it so much.

  1. Retribution – Wendy Million
52225405. sx318 sy475
As an undercover FBI agent, Kimi is no stranger to life-threatening situations. When her newest assignment leads to the Donaghey brothers, one of Boston’s biggest crime families, Kimi is confident she can handle the pressure.

But as she becomes embroiled in the lives of Finn and Lorcan, she realizes she might not be able to separate her job as Kim from the heart of Kimi quite so easily this time.

On the cusp of a mob war, Kimi must decide who to believe and who to save. Sometimes doing the right thing means doing something very wrong.

I really enjoyed Wendy’s writing, it kept me hooked and the book was just easy to read and sucked you in. I will definetely be reading more of Wendy’s books because I think I’m hooked now.So I must say for the first time in ages I was annoyed when this book ended. I wanted more. I have so many questions that needed answers and then the book ended and I was just so mad and annoyed. I need more. Although it did amuse me because it’s been a while since a book made me annoyed for finishing. I really hope there is another book after this because I need one. I think there is because on goodreads it says book 1. So I am hoping.

  1. Moon Cursed – Nikki Jefford
49653219. sx318 sy475
Time is running out for Elsie.

Elsie’s coven always believed that she was moon cursed. Promised to the bear shifters before she was ever born, the witch wolf shifter has until her twentieth birthday to outsmart Brutus, her would-be mate who only wants her as payback.

To save his coven, her father made a terrible, magically binding agreement decades ago, never dreaming he’d have children, especially not powerful wolf shifters. Luckily, he never specified what type of shifter Elsie must claim.

Zackary doesn’t believe he deserves love or forgiveness.

Ever since he betrayed a packmate, Zackary has been making up for his sins. No matter what, he knows the truth. Once a mongrel, always a mongrel—just like his father always told him. Now the mad wolf has returned to torment Zackary and the pack.

Not one to be scared off, Elsie, the sweetest and loveliest of all females, refuses to believe he’s no good for anyone—especially her.

Fated mates or doomed lovers?

Zackary and Elsie never knew how strong their love would grow … until they’re in too deep.

Zackary betrayed Elsie’s brother once before. If the wizard shifter knew what he was doing with Elsie in private, Tabor would kill, maim, or use that dick shrinkage spell he once threatened him with.

With a meddlesome ex from her coven, who won’t let go, and a brute of a bear shifter intent on trapping her inside his cave forever, it will take more than magic to save Elsie from her curse.

Do these star-crossed lovers stand a chance?

I love this series so much!I loved seeing the other characters from the other books and I just love how they progress and I just loved seeing my babies.I love Nikki’s writing and I cant wait to see where she goes next with this series because throughout this book we had many hints for a new series with some of the side characters so I am very excited for them!

  1. Seven – K.D. Robichuax
35168321. sy475

Seth Owens, co-owner of Club Alias, has always taken full-advantage of the endless supply of willing submissives who frequent his high-end establishment. But he’s never trusted anyone enough to let them get to know the man beneath the leather mask.

Twyla Quill has always been the good girl, the responsible one, which has left her no time to indulge in the many pleasures of life—much less a relationship.

When Twyla finally convinces her sister to leave her abusive boyfriend, they have no choice but to move across the country and hide out, away from the monster determined to get her sister back. With their savings quickly running out, Twyla takes a position at the local sex shop—where she meets Seth, a man who is all too willing to show her what she’s been missing out on.

What happens when the witty Dom meets the sweet new girl in town? Sparks fly and a whirlwind romance neither ever saw coming begins. But will Seth be able to protect the woman he considers his?

Seven is a spinoff of The Confession Duet, but can be read as a stand alone.

I loved all the pop culture references that whole scene of friends just made me smile, I love seeing pop references in the story and especially the ones I know! This story is really fascinating, it was so nice to see BDSM correctly, obviously from when Fifty Shades was released which is mentioned in the book, and I know that people from the community wasn’t pleased with the representation that was in 50 shades, so this was a very different read. I loved how they represented the BDSM community. A very safe place and there is a process to joining the club including that they have to undergo therapy sessions with the doc before they can join. So that was a great part of this, I figured that would be the first thing that I actually mention in the review.

  1. Plum – Cate C. Wells
50874315. sy475
We’re from two different worlds, but in her arms, I’m home.

Life didn’t give me a silver spoon. It gave me tetanus. When Adam Wade walks into my club, I know I’m in trouble. His money I can handle. But sweet words, gentle hands? I don’t know what to do with that. Eventually, he’s gonna wise up and walk away. If I let him in, what’ll be left of me when he goes?

I’m the adopted son of the man who owns the city. I was born into nothing, and I’ve earned my seat at the table. But at night, when I can’t sleep, I’m haunted by the pieces of myself I’ve disowned to make it this far.

I don’t know why Plum caught my eye, but I can’t look away. Maybe it’s her brave face, her fight, her quirks. I’m obsessed, all-in with my eyes screwed shut. Then life throws a harsh light on our choices. I’m forced to face the ugly truth of what she’s done to survive–and what I’ll have to sacrifice to be with her.

Plum’s a fighter, but would she fight for us? And if I give up everything for her, who will I be?

Plum is a 68,000-word “opposites attract” romance set in the Steel Bones Motorcycle Club world. It takes place at the same time as Nickel’s Story. This novel is intended for adult readers (18+) due to strong language, violence, triggers, and explicit intimate scenes.

Standalone. HEA.

So this took a bit of time to get into I really didnt sink straight into this story, it took me a good 20% to get into it and even then I didnt read it one sitting I kept putting the book down sometimes due to work sometimes not. I really enjoyed the writing and I love the Steel Bones MC world.

If you click on the title or the cover you will be taken to my review 🙂

  1. Striking Distance – L.K. Shaw
48922706. sy475
She’s a damsel in distress.
I’m supposed to protect her, not desire her.
Especially since she’s my sister’s best friend.

I never imagined I’d get caught in the crossfire between the police and the Mexican cartel. After a failed kidnapping attempt, a bodyguard attaches himself to my hip.

Why does it have to be Victor: my best friend’s brother and the man I’ve had a crush on since I was sixteen?

Estelle tempts me like no other woman. I push aside my attraction though. My goal is to keep her safe, not sleep with her.

The stakes are at an all time high when someone betrays us to the enemy. Now it’s a race against the clock to find her before it’s too late.

I really enjoyed the plot, it had many twists and turns and it kept me on my toes. It was action-packed and a great plot. The story flowed from start to finish and it all fitted.I think my only thing would be that I’d have rather have read the first book before reading this one but you know that’s my fault. Overall though I really enjoyed this story, it was great and kept me hooked. I loved the writing and will definitely be reading more from this author.

If you click on the title or the cover for this book you’ll be sent to my review 🙂

So that is it for my Febraury wrap up, also my bad for like taking so long to get my wrap up posted!
