Teased – Jamie Begley

“Here comes Trouble!” Colton took one look at the stripper on stage and knew that was exactly what Vida was, trouble. He had no desire to succumb to the young woman tantalizing men with her provocative movements and killer body with no intention of satisfying their fantasies. Fresh out of prison, his tattoo shop and getting rid of an aggravating ex were his first priorities, not a woman who should know better than to become involved in a situation that could get her killed.

Vida will do anything to save her friend’s life, even if it includes stripping on stage and doing lap dances in the VIP room under her stage name Trouble. All the sensuous moves were just an illusion to gain the information she needed, even if it meant the men who watched thought she would keep the promises her body was making.

Forced to sift through lies and betrayals, Colton discovers a woman who is as loving as she is loyal, but won’t give him a chance. Vida, who tries to ignore the escalating passion between them, learns the hard way that some men shouldn’t be teased…

This work of fiction is intended for mature audiences only. All sexually active characters portrayed in this ebook are eighteen years of age or older. Please do not buy if strong sexual situations, loss of a child, moderate violence and explicit language offends you. Note: This book may have a happily ever after for the hero and heroine, but will however end in a cliffhanger for her friend…

So I started this by reading Razer’s RideViper’s Run and Knox’s stand and Sex Piston, and now Teased. Although from different series majority of Jamie’s series interconnect and for me I have read them in the reading order that Jamie suggested. Also this is the second time reading it for me, I love these books and I am very much hooked. So this will have spoilers in.

The book begins with Colton being released from prison after serving three years and at the beginning he is an asshole although after being locked up for 3 years for something you didn’t do can do that. He is then told to babysit Vida and he’s not happy about that at first. Then having to deal with your wife that won’t give you a divorce I feel like you have room to be a little bit of a dickhead.

I love Vida she is the friend that everyone needs, we soon learn that Vida is at a strip club seeking protection from King who is also going to find her missing friend Sawyer, this is the whole catalyst for the book. But I love that Vida isn’t willing to give up finding Sawyer and we see just how protective she is and loving. She is very hard working and we see her getting her computer Science degree.

Tessa. Let’s talk about her. She is Colton’s wife well turns to ex in the book. We discover that Colton went to prison to protect Tessa who was a drug addict, he only protected her after he found out that she was pregnant with his baby. Although after he went to prison he then found out she had the baby aborted. Which for Colton was the end and since then was asking for a divorce one he did not get until he was released from prison and did it himself. Tessa is an absolute asshole. I hate the way she treats Colton and it is disgusting the way she does try to hurt him.

I loved seeing the Predators MC club (although seeing as they get their own stories later in the series first read through I hate no idea). I love that despite everything they are willing to be there and help Colton especially when they realise that “Trouble” their favourite stripper is Vida.

Colton giving Vida a tattoo is so cute and I love the scene when Tessa has a meltdown that Colton gave Vida his symbol in the tattoo. I just love that moment it’s in that moment that you know Colton really cares for Vida and is beginning to fall for her. I also think it’s kind of hilarious how he initially tries to fight his feelings for Vida.

I really liked the plot and it kept me interested and totally wanting to read the next book, especially as it ends on a cliffhanger and we go straight into Sawyer’s book in the next book. Which I cannot wait to read again.

I loved the connection and romance between Vida and Colton, it was so cute and I love how it developed. Especially when Colton finally begin to accept his feelings for Vida and stop sleeping with everything that moves.

I felt so sad for Vida especially when she spoke about losing her friend Callie when they were little (although I obviously already know something being that I’ve read the whole series but I will not spoil that because it’s a good egg). But the way she spoke about her friendship with Sawyer it was so cute and I loved that they have such a good friendship although you don’t physically see it you can definetely see how much Vida is willing to do to make sure Sawyer is safely returned.

I also think it was very cool that Colton is a tattoo artist the way he talks about his job and his passion. I love that.

So overall I really enjoyed this book and love the series!
