Releasing as part of the 2019 Sinister Fairy Tales Collection!

There’s a girl screaming at the top of a hill,
Burdened by a duty she was born to fulfill.
There’s a quiet killer lurking nearby,
Watching as she wishes only to die.
She’s tasked by her mother to marry a man,
Until the demon from hell puts a wrench in the plan.
Their fates will twine in inconceivable ways.
But where one goes, the other cannot stay.
How could she fall for such a man, you ask?
For the girl with no heart, it was the easiest task.

I’d like to thank Enticing Journey for sending me an e-arc of this book it is very much appreciated. Also the lovely ladies have been so understanding over why my review has been late and are honestly the best ladies! So this story is released as part of the Sinister Fairy Tales collection and so far I have read Venom, Cold Queen and Sacrifice from this collection. The first two books I loved but the second one was a real disappointment and sadly this one followed in being disappointing.

This was a dark retelling of Brave, now I don’t know the story of Brave because I’ve never watched the film or anything like that so going into this I pretty much had no idea. This was my whole method for the story I was very confused all the way through. I was so confused about whether Moira was in capture by her family or she had free will I was confused about everything. Sol was at least a little bit interesting and mysterious but beyond that I was also confused.

The story was very fast paced and I couldn’t really tell when this was set or where it was set, was it in Spain? Or? I’m just very confused.

I really couldn’t get into this story from the moment I started I was confused all the way through, the plot didn’t grab me I couldn’t connect with any of the characters or even like the characters. I thought the interactions between Sol and Moira was interesting but beyond that I didn’t really care about the characters.

I’m sorry to say that this was a disappointment for me I am hoping the next one is better!

    1. I really don’t know what happened with it. I’m still confused now. I don’t know what happened with the series because it started off really strong and it’s like the more books that come out from the colelction it goes downhill. I hope it picks back up soon.
